Established in 1973, we are one of the foremost mixed adult choirs in Essex drawing members from across the county and beyond. Our repertoire is varied and includes music of many periods and styles, from Renaissance to contemporary and we have built up a reputation for fine interpretation of music of all styles. The choir frequently works with top-class soloists and instrumentalists and is always seeking to break new ground. Under the musical direction of Andrew Fardell we have performed at the Queen Elizabeth Hall London and Snape Maltings. We were invited to participate in the Choral Day during the 1998 Promenade Season at the Royal Albert Hall. In it’s last season the choir performed Mendelssohn’s Elijah, Stravinsky Symphony of Psalms, a new cantata by Jonathan Dove and a concert of unaccompanied music from 16th century Venice. The choir has toured to France, Holland, Germany and Venice.
