Exposium Non-Fiction Animation & Memory

Talks, lezingen en congressen

Memory has become an important catalyst in pushing animation to new and unchartered territories, often balancing on the edge between film and installation. Animators exploring the intricate relationship between past and present often need to reshape narrative and visual conventions in their effort to resonate with a wider audience, resulting in unconventional, yet deeply personal works of art.

As such, an exposium (as a fusion of an exhibition and symposium) is the most adequate form to scrutinise the intersection between animation and memory from an artistic research perspective.

Participation is free of charge, but we kindly ask you to register if you want to attend the symposium (Auditorium C-3.15, 9.30 am - 1 pm). More info and registration via this link.

The Expanded Memories exhibition will be located in C-2.03, T2 (exhibition space on the bridge) and Cinecapella (library).
