LUCA achieves excellent result with 5 Master Mind scholarships for foreign master students!

Master Mind is a scholarship programme of the Flemish government that annually provides 30 scholarships for talented foreign master's students to come and study in Flanders. Selected Master Mind students pay the lowest registration fee and also receive a scholarship to support their stay in Flanders.

LUCA submits up to eight dossiers each year to VLUHR, the umbrella organisation of Flemish colleges and universities. For the academic year 2024-2025, a total of 16 students submitted an MM application of which 8 applications were forwarded to VLUHR with a thorough motivation accompanying each application. Both the internal and external committees look at the same criteria from the call (study results, motivation and quality of letters of recommendation) when assessing. The internal selection was followed up by the International Office, and the external selection was by a selection committee of experts at VLUHR.

Of these 8 candidates, 5 were eventually selected. The 3 other files just failed to score high. 

We welcome those 5 students for the academic year 2024-2025 from the United States, Brazil, Iran, Taiwan and Colombia to our Master in Music: Classical Performance, Master in Audiovisual Arts - Film and Master in Visual Arts - Graphic Design – pathway Graphic Storytelling.
