The Education and Examination Regulations set out all the rules regarding the education and examinations. The regulations are yearly approved by the Board of Directors and apply to all students enrolled at LUCA School of Arts.
It contains provisions with respect to (e.g.):
the registration regulations;
the study contract and the study programme;
conditions with respect to exemptions;
the rules applicable to examination and evaluation;
the rights and obligations of a student.
The official regulations and a summary for exchange students can be found here.
International students following courses at LUCA School of Arts as part of an exchange programme can lodge an internal appeal at LUCA against an unfavourable exam decision, as long as the dispute is strictly related to the proceedings of the exam at LUCA. The procedure can be consulted online via https://info.luca-arts.be/en/regulations-education-and-examination where exchange students will also find a summarized version of the and education and examination regulation.
Exchange students must take into account that the final decision about the valorization of their exchange programme, the valorization of their exam results and their study progress remains the responsibility of their home university. In case of any dispute about these latter aspects the exchange student should contact the exchange coordinator of their home institution. These coordinators can contact the exchange coordinators at LUCA in order to receive further information regarding the proceeding of the exam or about other decisions made by LUCA.
Exchange students who experience a specific academic, organisational or administrative problem during their exchange that is not related to the organization of exams or exam results are always advised to first contact their campus exchange coordinators at LUCA or the student administration office at the campus.
If the problem cannot be solved immediately, if the student is unhappy with the outcome or in a situation of conflict they can also file the complaint to the Erasmus Institutional Coordinator of LUCA via international@luca-arts.be.
