Witches. They are everywhere. They lurk everywhere. Mean, bloodthirsty witches. They laugh at your jokes, want to be your best friend, but behind your back they prepare your downfall. Before you know it, everything you built is lost and you no longer want to live.

In this razor-sharp piece of musical theater, they skillfully stab Dido, Queen of Carthage, in the back. For she had vowed never to fall in love again, until one fine day some drowning men washed ashore and everything changed. She now has her eye on Prince Aeneas, one of the refugees. He, too, feels something for her. Maybe he will become king, maybe Dido will become happy again. This does not please the witches at all and so they plot a plan. A deadly plan.

The opera "Dido & Aeneas" by Henry Purcell has been adapted especially for this production, with a real prologue and, of course, music by the same composer. The witches get the lead role, or what did you think.
