Conference: Deradicalizing the City

We are pleased to invite you to the concluding conference of the project Deradicalizing the city that will be held at the LUCA School of Art from the 23rd to the 26th of April 2025.

The final conference revolves around the question: Does security have a future? Speculation and belonging in the age of catastrophes. The conference is conceived as a dialogue on how security has become one of the primary signifiers of our times and what a speculative exploration of alternative forms belonging and future-making might look like. The program of the event is organized around three thematic clusters:

  • Governance and security policies
  • (Alternative forms of) future making;
  • Speculation and artistic methodologies.

Attendance is free, however registration is mandatory. Please register by April 14th by sending an email to deradicalizingthecity@kuleuven.be.
