Ghent
There has been a period when the narrative was all but absent from painting, however today's students consciously or intuitively choose a narrative approach in their work. That finding prompted art teachers from Bristol and LUCA School of Arts to organize a symposium on how art education can accommodate the narrative in painting.
This is the second symposium. A symposium on the subject has previously been held at Bristol School of Art at the University of the West of England.
The symposium consists of a debate and an exhibition.

Pannel:
This symposium is organized by the Fine Arts Department Ghent of LUCA School of Arts and the School of Arts of the University of the West of England.
This project was realized with support from the #LUCAbreakout fund. LUCA School of Arts pools resources to support students, researchers, teachers and employees willing to put LUCA on the map. A central budget provides low-threshold support for well-defined initiatives.
