DIP Talks: Robbe Van Molle - Anne Manteleers - Maarten Vanermen

Lectures & artist talks

Programme

Robbe Van Molle

  • Robbe is a data journalist at De Standaard, where he has been working since July 2022, right after completing his Master's in Media & Information Design. Prior to his current role, he worked for a year as an information designer at Baryon. He specializes in analyzing and visually presenting complex data, translating large datasets into comprehensible and engaging visuals. Robbe works both online and in print, experimenting with code to develop new forms of data visualization. He remains open to new technologies to create captivating content for various platforms.

Anne Manteleers

  • Anne has been active in the creative world since 2008. She passionately runs A-to-B design in Brussels, an agency specialised in (re)branding, websites and illustration. Before that, she designed new internal brands for ten years as art director at VRT and took care of the branding and sceno-graphy of several major events in the media sector. Illustration is her other passion: her work supported many podcasts and events. Next to her own graphic design practice Anne likes to share her skills and knowledge with the the younger generation. Since 2022, she has been mentoring Interior Architecture students at the University of Antwerp in refining their graphic toolkit and creating attractive visuals.

Maarten Vanermen

  • After Maarten got his master's degree in visual arts at LUCA Brussels he followed their postgraduate program Transmedia. During his studies he already showed a strong fascination for the interfaces between light, space/time and its perception. In an attempt to understand and describe these processes, he uses a combination of analog and digital media, as an almost visual dissection of the themes and subjects that surround him. He makes use of old fluorescent lamps, beamers and high-tech and discarded audiovisual material. In the same spirit he co-founded the two-headed collective Club Ephemera. Since 2019, he has been visual arts programmer at Pilar, where he seeks for the intersection between artistic and scientific disciplines.
DIP talks

DIP stands for 'Dive into Practice'. Within the 'DIP Talk' format each department of Visual Arts at campus Sint-Lukas Brussels yearly invites recently graduated alumni to talk about their developing practice. The DIP talks are informal, take place in the studio and are followed by drinks.
