Figaro wants to marry Susanna. But that is beyond Count Almaviva: he has to give his consent to the marriage, but has actually set his sights on Susanna himself. Then there are Basilio and Marcellina, who have a bone to pick with the young couple. Cherubino and Barbarina are also in love, but again Count Almaviva comes to throw a spanner in the works. Fortunately, there is Countess Almaviva, who is eager to put her husband in his place and supports the young couple whenever possible. A delightful whirlwind of intrigue is the beating heart of one of Mozart's best operas.
LUCA's vocal students give you a unique insight into the rehearsal process for their new production of ‘Le Nozze di Figaro’.
