Studying at LUCA C-mine seems like something for you... but you wonder how learning and living here on campus works?
We got your back! During the Open Lesson Day on March 6, you can attend an introduction for each course: Animation Film, Game Design, Photography, Product Design and Television Film. You will receive a clear introduction to our approach and the focus of each course. Then you can get a taste of the practice in a workshop. This will give you a good idea of our campus and the different workplaces. Teachers and students will be on site to answer all your questions.
You are welcome from 1 p.m. We will gather in 'De Straat', the central corridor in the middle of the building. After a (short) welcome speech, we will divide the groups for each course.
The trial lessons start at 2 p.m. and last until 5 p.m. Afterwards, we will conclude with a group drink in the foyer of the campus, organized by our students from Lucafé. Here you can exchange experiences with other visitors, or chat with our teachers and students. Or would you rather catch a film? Following the Open Day, the 'FilmEU Cineclub' will also be organised on campus, with a screening of three alumni films. You can find all the information about this event here.
Would you like to attend? You can register via the link below.

13:00-14:00: reception
14:00-17:00: trial lesson + workshop (per programme)
17:00-18:15: FilmEU Cineclub (Aula 1)

Enter the wonderful world of animation! In two consecutive workshops you will get a crash course in stop-motion animation and 2D digital animation.
Learn how to transform images using AI tools in Photoshop and bring your ideas to life, then print your own creation with a state-of-the-art RISO printer.
We start with an introduction to film analysis, where you will examine some scenes from recent films and look for hidden gems in cinematography and storytelling. This will be followed by a hands-on workshop on scenario and script development by fiction director Gert Embrechts.
Make your own chocolate mold! We dive into the studio to make our first Thermoform mold in plastic. Design and make your own mold, which you can then use to pour chocolate into.
Together with some students and teachers from LUCA you will design your own first board game. In one go you will learn the core principles of game design.
